Mehrdad Talaifar to Head Sabrix European Operations

Mehrdad Talaifar to Head Sabrix European Operations

Sabrix Invests to Meet Growing Demand for Transaction Tax Management

SAN RAMON, CA – April 15, 2009 – Sabrix, Inc., a leading provider of transaction tax management for companies of all sizes, announced today that former Vice President of Partner Development, Mehrdad Talaifar, will be relocating from the United States to the U.K. to head up its European Operations. Mr. Talaifar will join the U.K. team to focus on continued expansion of its on-premise business, on launching international market development for the Sabrix Managed Tax Service™ (MTS), and on European partner development. This increased focus on Europe is the latest in a series of restructuring moves to strengthen Sabrix’s presence in the marketplace and to re-align its resources with major corporate initiatives.

Mr. Talaifar was one of the first employees of the company and has held a variety of roles at Sabrix focused on the execution of strategic initiatives. He was first to staff the Tax Business Consulting team, a team of tax domain experts who assist in the pre-sales process by understanding customer requirements and mapping those requirements to Sabrix solutions. Mr. Talaifar also pioneered the company’s highly successful Sabrix Partner Network, a group of industry leading partners that provides best of breed tax and technical services and that includes firms or partners such as Accenture, Deloitte, KPMG, Ryan, and Yetter Consulting. He has also been active from the U.S. in developing international partnerships with the scope and reach to address the requirements of major corporations across Europe, and he was a member of the initial Sabrix team that developed and launched MTS, the industry’s first complete managed service for tax compliance, in United States.

“Mehrdad has served the company in a variety of roles since joining the company almost a decade ago,” stated Steve L. Adams, President and CEO, Sabrix. “He grew up in Europe, has always had a commitment to the international marketplace, and has always believed that an ecosystem of a few, but highly focused partnerships is the best way to expand our brand outside of the United States. His commitment to partnering over the past few years has contributed to the formation of a number of strategic alliances with industry leading ERP providers, systems integration companies, and tax consulting firms and, ultimately, to the continued growth of Sabrix. He is now committed to translating those strategic alliances in Europe into even more aggressive revenue-generating opportunities for our partners and for Sabrix. As a company, we’ve been very focused on ways to take advantage of the economic downturn, and we believe that expanding our go-to-market commitment with partners outside of the U.S. is the right move at the right time.”

“I am personally committed to expanding our European operations and to leveraging our relationships with top industry players,” stated Mehrdad Talaifar, Vice President of European Operations. “Unlike our competitors, who have embraced a strategy of marginalizing services partners, we think it’s the right time to double down on our relationships with partners, especially in Europe where our own history is brief relative to the established presence and longstanding customer relationships of our partners. We think that, together with a group of tightly aligned partners, we can best serve companies of all sizes across the E.U. for a very long time. I am pleased to take on this new assignment and to bring the company’s full focus and commitment to bear in Europe.”
